In this exercise I needed to create a set of 2 posters for a local event, one with a lot and one with the bare minimal information.

I found this local box match that is being held on the 8th March by the Belvedere Boxing Club. Details here.
I’ve drafted a few ideas first to see what layout would work for this.

I’ve proceeded to put the words into my software and push them around to create the below posters.

I’ve sent these posters to some of the other students on the course and I got the feedback that the second poster had just the right amount of information.

I think I have a good grasp on what information is a must when presenting a poster. I have created some event posters in the past, but I usually used the too much approach. I will from now on will try to cut back on the amount of words used in my designs.
